Do you have an old, baggy, t-shirt that is just sitting in your closet? With the help of this DIY, you can customize it into a cool new piece for your wardrobe!
Me and my friend Ella volunteered at our school to help welcome incoming students, and the t-shirts that they gave us to wear were oversized and not very pretty. So we decided to get in touch with our creative side and reconstruct!
Lets get started!
Step 1: cut off the collar of the t-shirt, and cut the neckline you would like. I choose to just keep the same shape
Step 2: then cut off the sleeves. Do this by cutting the first sleeve and then folding the t-shirt in half and cutting the other sleeve. This is a good idea to keep the sleeves even.
Step 3: cut the bottom to desired length
Step 4: turn the shirt inside out and mark lines where you would like to cut slits. Cut the slits and flip it back the right way. If your edges are curling the wrong way just roll them the right direction and set a heavy object on the shirt. This should fix any unwanted rolling.
Voila! Your done! Now go show off your new masterpiece!
If you like the other racerback t-shirt design, just simply cut a racerback instead of slits, and wrap the cut off hem of the shirt to create a wrapped racerback look!
